Whether you want an off-road taster in your Tiguan complete with lessons, or an extreme solo adventure, there are some fantastic tracks and centres all over the UK to try your 4x4 on.

True Grip, Kent

Whatever your ability, True Grip will have a track to suit you and your vehicle. Based in Kent, this popular 3000-acre adventure track gives you the opportunity to go wild in your 4x4, but has the added benefit of professional instructors to help you through the challenges of ditches, river crossings and muddy climbs.

Auch Estate, West Scotland

This fantastic trail is enough to get any Tiguan owner hot under the collar. With a bumpy track surrounded by forest, complete with a rushing ford if you want to wet your wheels, this hidden off-road trail includes a railway track and viaduct to follow. To find it, head off the main road from Tyndrum to Bridge of Orchy on the way to Fort William, avoiding the Old Military Road unless you want to have to slow down for pedestrians!

Wood Park, Wales

Wales is known for its rolling hills, dense woodland and rugged mountains and Wood Park is home to 45 acres of off-road 4x4 courses, designed to challenge at every turn. Choose from half or full days with plenty of helpful instruction to get you up those ninety degree slopes, or take to the tracks yourself to tackle slippery mud, deep fords and stunning forests and even a quarry for practicing on loose rocky terrain.

Ashdown Forest, Sussex

Home of Winnie the Pooh, these woodlands are far from cute when experienced in a 4x4. With plenty of hidden off-road tracks and a variety of fords to cross, you’ll need a map to tackle the many miles of wilderness. Enjoy the stunning scenery but keep your eye out for deer in the road if you don’t want to ruin a perfect day’s driving!

White Cliff 4x4, Gloucestershire

Set near the beautiful Forest of Dean, this quarry based off-road site offers a safe but challenging course and a variety of packages to suit even the most experienced off-road drivers. If you’re looking for a track to really test your skills, White Cliff’s cross-axle situations, mud, water and steep inclines and declines will really get the adrenaline going.

Perthshire Off-Road, Scotland

The challenging Perthshire off-road track combines the rugged landscapes of the Scottish Highlands with an extreme course consisting of mud, deep water, hills and dips aplenty. With packages ranging from an introduction to off-roading for beginners, to going it solo off the beaten track, there’s something extreme for every driver.
