Think Blue for Volkswagen
The new VW slogan ‘Think Blue, for a more efficient driving future’ is a part of the new TV advertising for the manufacturer’s extensive work with low emissions technology, aptly named ‘Bluemotion’. An underlying message with all things Bluemotion is that lowering your carbon footprint is about more than just one individual and requires a world-wide audience and level of activity to make a significant impact on the future.
The Bluemotion TV advert, ‘Think Blue. Symphony’ aired on Sunday 9th October and comprised references to the original 1960s ‘Think Small’ campaign, being reminiscent of a time when driving a car became ‘possible for everyone’ with the iconic Volkswagen Beetle and camper-van. Fittingly, the music chosen for the commercial is the Beach Boys’ ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’, from their 1966 album, Pet Sounds.
Volkswagen’s ‘Think Small’ campaign has slowly evolved throughout the last 4 decades to ‘Think Blue’ and the new advert is cheerful, catchy and not to be missed.
The clip involves someone drawing out the symphony on a musical score sheet with images depicting differing milestones, such as the ‘We love camper’ era, through to TDI engine technology and the introduction of the new Lupo to the Bluemotion family, beginning with the supermini new Volkswagen Polo.
The new VW advert promotes the ethos behind saving energy and the planet, and suggests that everyone can make a difference, every day. For more information on the Bluemotion vehicles currently in stock, such as the new Polo and Golf, call or visit VW dealer in Kent, EuroCanterbury today.
